I am a junior artist who has recently graduated from Abertay university where I studied Computer Arts.

Education:

2020 - Present:
Junior graduate in Computer Arts at Abertay University, aiming for a first degree.

Studied under Gordon Brown, Finlay Pearston and Ryan Locke for Character, environment and concept art.

Worked on a brief assigned by Ubisoft. Working towards deadlines, optimization targets and receiving and working on critique.

During my studies I have developed skills in concept art, 3D character and environment art, 2D and 3D animation, rigging, PBR workflow, sculpting, hard surface, retopology, optimization, texturing, shader set ups independent and group work. I also picked up the ability to work in Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, unreal Engine and Houdini.

Education:

2018 - 2019:
UAL Level 3 Art and Design course, passed with a distinction.

Skills developed in sculpting, colour theory, composition, painting, digital painting, collaboration, time management, working towards brief.

Experiences

2023 - Present:
Mentorship scheme
Actively sought out a mentor as part of the Abertay mentorship program where I was assigned to someone from the industry for guidance, advice and feedback.

2023 - Present:
Help Buddy
Volunteered to help students in younger years with artistic, technical and design issues both online and on campus. A student ran help group.

2022:
Participated in DARE Academy with the team Fireside Tales and our game Dvergatal. We made it to the top ten due to the exceptionally quality of our game. Originally this game was created as a response to a brief set b Ubisoft. We then advanced this for or DARE Academy interview. I assisted with 3D environment and props, concept art and was responsibly for overseeing the 3D enemy character, logo design, rigging and animation.

2019:
Created the game 'Runaway' with the team Toffypops. This game was a narrative driven platformer. You play as a dog who has found a lost child in the woods, your mission is to take him back home to safety. I was responsible for environment art, concept art, cut-seen animations.

Skills:
Strong understanding of Zbrush, Substance Painter, Maya, Unreal Engine.

Good understanding of Photoshop, Substance Designer, Premiere Pro.

Attention to detail, adaptive, team player, resourceful.

Ability to work towards targets and goals with time constraints.

Able to work to a set design style.

Experience working towards briefs.

Activities:
Participated in DARE Academy with Fireside Tales and made it to the top ten with our game Dvergatal. We made it this far due to extremely high standard of our game.

Participating in Grads for Games working on a set brief with time constraints.

Proactively sought portfolio reviews from industry professionals from Epic, Rockstar and ILM.. Where I had the chance to receive critique from people such as Gary Conti and Bimpe Alliu.

Participated in the Rookies 2024 competition.
